What is meditation?
Definition
Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.
Why Meditate?
In today’s world with so much stress affecting most of us, with so much over stimulation from media, work. social responsibilities it can be overwhelming. Meditation is a way to slow everything down and get connected to your sense of self on a deeper level. To your truth, your strength and intuition.
My Experience
When I was 22 years old I discovered meditation by an “impulse”. My initial experience was so profound it created a thirst to learn more about all kinds of meditations from different backgrounds. Once experiencing variety I choose to experience deeper works for transformation and started going on 10 day silent retreats throughout my twenties.
How did I benefit?
- Meditation helped me connect to my true self
- It guided me through times of pain and confusion
- It made me realize that we are all going through the same experiences in life
- I found my purpose through it

At our weekly meditation class we will introduce you to a variety of different meditations and different teachers, so you can experience something unique every time and learn different tools to use in everyday life.
